The Lake Country velcro hook & loop backing plate is the perfect match with your Porter-Cable polisher. Use this backing plate with 3-inch or 5-inch pads. This backing plate is large enough to stabilize the pad but small enough to provide an adequate buffer zone between the edge of the foam pad and the molded urethane constructed backing plate.
This plate is great for the because it has a generous edge. Even if you turn the pad onto its side accidentally, there is an inch of flexible, beveled urethane between the edge of the plate and the inner construction. The backing plate fits any polisher that accepts a 5/16” thread.
