Prevent debris and small rocks from scratching the paint
The Grit Guard is essential for preventing marring and swirl scratches during a hand wash. The Grit Guard is a raised grid insert that sits in the bottom of the bucket. It minimizes the amount of grit transferred back to the wash mitt from the wash water. If grit (small stones) are allowed to float back onto the wash mitt, it will scratch the paint surface as you continue to wash the next body panel.
Fill the bucket with water and your favorite shampoo, and place the Grit Guard in the bottom. Soak your wash mitt with soapy wash water and wash a section of the vehicle. When you dunk the mitt into the rinse water, drag it across the grid to remove dirt that has accumulated in the nap of the wash mitt.
The dirt will fall between the slats and settle in the bottom of the bucket. Even though you agitate the top water every time you reload the mitt with soap, the Grit Guard stabilizes the water in the bottom of the bucket so the dirt does not rise.
Durable 90-mil HDPE bucket
The bucket is made of durable 90-mil high-density polyethylene sides, which means that they will not deform easily and can withstand temperatures of up to 180°F.
Move the bucket easily with convenient wheeled dolly
The dolly makes your wash bucket mobile so you can easily roll it around a vehicle as you wash it. The bucket dolly accommodates any 3.5 to 7 gallon round bucket and has five heavy-duty casters capable of supporting up to 250 pounds.
Gamma Seal water-tight lid
The Gamma Seal turns the bucket into a reusable water-tight container. Heavy duty, high density polyethylene construction creates a leak-proof airtight seal. Simply tap on the adapter on the adapter ring (includes rubber gasket) and screw the inner cover on.
